Hand-felted scarves, using extra fine merino wool for softness next to the skin.

Wet felting is a technique of getting strong warm material from wool by using soapy water and manual friction. Essentially it consists or four stages: laying the fibers out, wetting them, felting and fulling. After that the pieces must be laid down to dry naturally. I use my lanai to dry the pieces in the sun. It took me two hours to make the crystal brooch and five to make the scarf.
